About us

Since its establishment, the CRC/TR 63 has pursued the long-term objective of researching novel phase systems for homogeneously catalysed, multiphase production processes in the sense of green chemistry, as well as developing and demonstrating efficient processes. A bottom-up approach is based on the reaction and leads to the overall process. A top-down approach derives individual process steps requirements from all possible process variants. Not only the reaction step but rather the entire process from basic or platform chemicals to the pure product is considered with the aim of a holistic and fast process development. New methods of reaction design and operation as well as specific integrated reaction and separation processes are investigated. The results are combined in an overall process simulation and optimization.



More than 60 scientists from the Technische Universität Berlin, the Technische Universität Dortmund, the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg, the Technische Universität Darmstadt, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin and the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems are involved in the CRC/TR 63.

Goals and Topics

The goal of the workshop is to provide a forum for the exposure and exchange of ideas, methods and results about problems with heat, mass and momentum transfer across moving boundaries such as film flows, dispersed flows and more in liquid/liquid and gas/liquid systems etc. If problems of boiling and condensation are presented they should be of fundamental nature focussed on what is said above. Special attention of this workshop is drawn on concentration profiles. We expect contributions on
