"Integrated Chemical Processes in Liquid Multiphase Systems"
Welcome to the Collaborative Research Centre/Transregio 63 “Integrated Chemical Processes in Liquid Multiphase Systems” (InPROMPT). The CRC/TR 63 has been funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft e.V. (DFG) since 2010 and the activity is a collaboration between the Technische Universität Berlin, the Technische Universität Dortmund, the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg, the Technische Universität Darmstadt, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin, the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems.
The central long-term goal of 'InPROMPT' is to create the prerequisites for efficient chemical production processes in the sense of green chemistry, based on liquid, reactive multi-phase systems. Green chemistry aims to achieve the most environmentally compatible production of chemical products. The essential principles are the use of renewable raw materials, the use of highly efficient catalysts, the use of green solvents, energy efficiency and process optimization in real-time. This leads to the realization of novel, efficient production processes, especially on the basis of renewable raw materials. For the development of such processes, all levels of the processes must be viewed from the molecular elementary steps up to the design and operation of the entire plant.
Thus, within the CRC/TR 63 fundamental investigations are carried out to penetrate the processes and their modelling. In addition to the reaction steps, separation processes are also developed, modelled and optimized as part of overall process synthesis to develop technical processes. The developed processes are implemented and validated in two miniplants.
The CRC/TR 63 consists of 14 individual research projects and one transfer project, working in three project areas (A: Chemical and Physical Properties, B: Process Technology, D: Integrated Process Development). The first (2010-2013) and second (2014-2017) funding period have been successfully completed. Here we briefly report on the CRC/TR 63 acitivities in its third funding period (2018-2021).
Note: Due to the special circumstances of the Corona pandemic, we have received an extention for our CRC/TR 63 until June 2022 by the DFG.
Please contact us in case you wish to collaborate or if you need any further information.
